National Nutrition Month

Mar 15, 2024 | Notices & Announcements

March is National Nutrition Month, Community Memorial Hospital & Redfield Clinic invite you to learn about making informed food choices and developing nutritious eating habits.

Some things you could consider implementing to prioritize your health:

  • create healthy meals that cover all five food groups that meet your individual needs and can improve your health
  • plan weekly meals ahead of time by writing out the ingredients you will need for each meal (doing this will help you incorporate all five food groups and can be used as your grocery list)
  • know your calorie needs to better manage your daily food and beverage choices ( these needs vary based on your age, gender, and physical activity level)
  • read labels when grocery shopping to compare ingredients in different food items (select items that have higher amounts of vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber and lower amounts of sodium, saturated fat, and added sugars)

Always consult your physician before starting any diet plan. If you have questions, contact Community Memorial Hospital & Redfield Clinic at 605.472.0510.
