Provides services in compliance with the South Dakota Board of Nursing and the Nursing & Medical Staff Bylaws of Community Memorial Hospital.

Services and daily activities are to be provided in such a way that they support the mission and philosophies of Community Memorial Hospital.

The Physician Assistant provides care and medical management to inpatients and outpatients of Community Memorial Hospital and Redfield Clinic.  The PA’s are sponsored/supervised by MD’s on active staff.  The Physician Assistant role is primarily medical and interdisciplinary management of patients and families through the continuum of care.

  • In 1968, an addition was constructed, changing the bed capacity to 44. 
  • Considerable remodeling was done during this time (1968) to meet the needs of a growing community.
  • The clinic was added on to the hospital in 1991, decreasing bed capacity to 25.
