Monitoring Your Blood Pressure
Keeping track of your blood pressure can help you avoid a heart attack or stroke—and let you know when it’s time to call your doctor.
If you are being treated for high blood pressure, check it as often as your doctor recommends.
Readings can vary greatly depending on the time of day, location, and the type of monitor used.
Contact your doctor if your readings are consistently over 140/90.
Blood Pressure Categories
- Less than 120/80 – Normal
- 120–139 / 80–89 – Prehypertension
- 140/90 or higher – High blood pressure

Pedialyte Administration Guide
Juices and sports drinks do not meet medical guidelines for helping prevent dehydration due to diarrhea. Pedialyte does, because it has the correct balance of carbohydrates and electrolytes children need for quick absorption.
Pedialyte should be offered frequently in amounts tolerated. Total daily intake should be adjusted to meet individual needs, based on thirst and response therapy. Because of this, we recommend reaching out to your primary care provider to discuss appropriate amounts for your child.
Poison Control
