Currently the SD Department of Health is allowing for the vaccination of individuals aged 65 and older, patients of any age with current active cancer, post-transplant or receiving dialysis. Beginning March 3rd, individuals with underlying medical conditions under the age of 65 will qualify to be vaccinated. These conditions include: asthma, cerebrovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, COPD, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, down syndrome, heart conditions (heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathies), high blood pressure, those immune compromised due to organ transplant, immune deficiency, HIV or chronic corticosteroid therapy, liver disease, neurological disease (such as dementia), pregnancy, pulmonary fibrosis, severe obesity (BMI greater than 40), sickle cell disease or thalassemia.

If you are diagnosed with any of the listed chronic medical conditions and are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, please contact the Redfield clinic at 472-0510 to be added to the list. Our staff will then contact you to schedule a date/time to receive you vaccine as soon as doses are available. Thank you for your patience during this process.
