Sandy Jungwirth, DPT, Marisa Lakner, PT, and Clayton LaBrie, PTA recently attended training and have been certified in PWR! Moves which is a Parkinson Wellness Recovery training program that aims to slow disease progression, improve symptoms, restore function, and increase longevity and quality of life of individuals with a Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis.

The basis of the program focuses on four foundational movements to help counteract deficits that can interfere with everyday mobility tasks.  Our physical therapists will apply principles to allow those with Parkinson’s and other movement disorders to exercise in a manner to improve movement, optimize brain health and change, as well as improve overall function. Treatments are customized based on each individual’s specific needs.
